Biography
Ken Wood currently provides consulting services for seismic engineering, forensic analysis and design for moment frame structural steel buildings. He also provides consulting services to the Rack Manufacturers Institute on rack specifications development. Prior to this, Ken was Vice President of Engineering for Unarco Material Handling. Before joining Unarco, Ken was President of KL Wood Engineering. His firm provided consultation to the storage system industry, as well as specializing in seismic engineering for storage and handling systems installed in earthquake sensitive areas. Ken’s industry experience began at Republic Steel as a project engineer in the manufacturing division. As part of Ken’s industry experience, he has designed over 20,000 rack systems, including rack supported buildings 110 feet high by 400 feet long. Ken is a graduate of Youngstown State University with a Bachelor of Engineering. He is registered as a professional engineer in 11 states.
