Prof. Weimin Zheng received the BS and MS degrees from Tsinghua University, China, in 1970 and 1982, respectively. He is a professor with the Department of Computer Science and Technology, Tsinghua University. He was the President of China Computer Federation. He is now the Editor in Chief of the journal Big Data. His research interests include parallel computing, compiler techniques, and network storage. Prof. Zheng and his collaborators published more than 500 papers and more than 10 books. He is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. He was the recipient of ACM Gordon Bell Prize in 2016.
