Biography
Heather Savoy is a Computational Biologist (Data Scientist) with the USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS) SCINet Office. The SCINet initiative is an effort by the USDA ARS to grow USDA’s research capacity by providing scientists with access to HPC clusters, high-speed networking for data transfer, and training in scientific computing. Dr. Savoy specializes in facilitating computational geospatial research on SCINet’s HPC resources. She received her Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering with an emphasis in Computational Data Science and Engineering from the University of California Berkeley.
