Biography
Olga Pearce is a computer scientist in the Center for Applied Scientific Computing (CASC) at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL). Olga Pearce joined LLNL in 2009 as a Lawrence Scholar, and as staff in 2014. Olga received her Ph.D. in Computer Science from Texas A&M University. Olga Pearce’s research focuses on High Performance Computing, particularly on co-designing the world’s largest supercomputers to efficiently execute the nation’s strategic deterrence simulations to answer time- and mission-critical questions. Dr. Pearce leads the benchmarking team for the Advanced Technology Systems, and is the Principal Investigator for Performance Analysis and Visualization at Exascale. Dr. Pearce is the recipient of several Strategic Deterrence Awards and Science and Technology Awards at LLNL. In 2021, Dr. Pearce established a joint position of Associate Professor of Practice with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Texas A&M University to teach HPC-related courses and mentor students.
