Bikash Kanungo works as an Assistant Research Scientist in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan. His research interests include various theoretical and numerical aspects of electronic structure calculations, ranging from accurate machine-learned models to fast and scalable numerical methods. He received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and Scientific Computing from the University of Michigan (2019) and holds a B.Tech in Manufacturing Science and Mathematics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (2013). During his Ph.D., he received the MICDE fellowship from the University of Michigan in 2017.
