NIck Hengartner
Biography
Dr. Nick Hengartner is a senior scientist at LANL since 2002. He earned his PhD in Statistics
at UC Berkeley in 1993, and spent the following nine years on the faculty of the Statistics
department at Yale University. Nick is interested in understanding and developing methodologies to learn from data. His statistical training makes him focus on Uncertainty Quantification aspects
of machine learning. He is a fellow of the American Statistical Association and has
contributed to over 140 peer reviewed manuscripts.
