Estelle Dirand is a R&D engineer at Total in France. She completed in 2018 a PhD in Computer Science from Université Grenoble Alpes, France, working on the integration of a high performance task-based in situ technique for a molecular dynamics code developed for exascale computers at CEA in collaboration with Inria. She also holds an Engineering Degree in Applied Mathematics from ENSTA ParisTech, France, obtained in 2015. She joined Total in December 2018 where she works in the Scientific Visualization team. Her primary work at Total is to promote the use of scientific visualization tools among domain experts and to integrate in situ techniques into internal simulation codes.
