Gourab Panigrahi is a Ph.D. student at the Department of Computational and Data Sciences, Indian Institute of Sciences (IISc), Bangalore. His research interests are developing hardware-aware approaches for accelerating large-scale eigenvalue problems on heterogenous architectures and further accelerating these problems by developing communication avoidance procedures. Gourab received his B.Sc. (Research) and M.S. degrees in Physics from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He is the recipient of KVPY Fellowship (2014) and the Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship (2021).
