Prof. Yao Zheng has been a chair professor with Zhejiang University since 2001. He was a Senior Research Scientist at NASA Glenn Research Center, Ohio, USA, a Senior Software Scientist at CD-adapco, New York, USA, and a Senior Research Assistant at University of Wales Swansea, UK. He earned a BSc in Mathematics from Hangzhou University, China, an MSc (Eng) in Mechanics from Harbin Institute of Technology, China, and a PhD in Computational Modeling from University of Wales Swansea, UK. His research has spanned computational mechanics and engineering, aerospace propulsion theory and engineering, and flight vehicle design. He is the President of the Asian-Pacific Association for Computational Mechanics (APACM).
