Biography
Omar Aaziz received a B.S. in Computer Science in 2000, an M.S. in Computer Science from Baghdad University in 2003, and his Ph.D. from New Mexico State University in 2018. Omar was a Senior Software Engineer at Sandia National Laboratories. Currently, He is a Senior developer at Flow Science. His research interests are in High-Performance Computing (HPC), specifically dynamic analysis and runtime monitoring. He developed a statistical module in the HPC arena to predict application runtime using hardware counters in large-scale production clusters. His current research studies the increase in the utility of expensive HPC resources in scientific applications.
