The Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) funds UK and international science and manages large scale UK research facilities across a vast array of scientific disciplines. STFC’s Scientific Computing Department (www.scd.stfc.ac.uk) provides large scale high performance computing (HPC) facilities, computing and data management services and infrastructure for national and international research projects. The STFC Hartree Centre (www.hartree.stfc.ac.uk) maximises on this world-leading infrastructure and expertise by accelerating the adoption of HPC, data analytics and cognitive technologies into UK industry.
