Harun received his PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley in 2003. His doctoral research made heavy use of supercomputers to solve problems in computational biomechanics. After graduating, he joined Dassault Systèmes Simulia Corp. where he developed high-performance parallel numerical methods for computational mechanics and fluid dynamics. In 2010, Harun joined the Albany Engineered Composites where he led the Research and Technology efforts on advanced aerospace composite materials using physics based numerical simulations. Harun joined NVIDIA in 2017, and he has been leading the Math Libraries organization that builds software to help accelerate applications in science, engineering, Quantum Computing, and AI.
