Kazem Cheshmi
Biography
Kazem Cheshmi is an assistant professor in ECE at McMaster University. He received his PhD from the University of Toronto and works on compiler design and parallel algorithms for scientific computing and machine learning. And before that, he was also a researcher at Microsoft Research, Adobe Research, and Rutgers University. He is a recipient of the ACM-IEEE CS George Michael Memorial HPC Fellowship 2020, the grand final award of the 2017 ACM Student Research Competitions, honorable mention in the ACM SIG-HPC 2022 doctoral dissertation award, the Wolfund Fellowship 2019, and the Adobe Fellowship 2018.
