George K. Thiruvathukal is Professor and Chairperson of the Computer Science Department at Loyola University Chicago. He is also visiting computer scientist at Argonne National Laboratory in the Leadership Computing Facility. His research has received funding from the National Science Foundation, the National Security Agency, DARPA, and the National Endowment for the Humanities. His research has also been supported by industry gifts from Google, Intel, Microsoft, and Meta. He directs the Software and Systems Laboratory at Loyola University Chicago, which focuses on parallel and distributed systems, empirical software engineering, machine learning/computer vision, and energy-efficient computing.
