Dr. Ada Sedova is a research scientist at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory and a member of the Molecular Biophysics and Computational Chemistry and Nanomaterials Sciences Groups. Her work focuses on HPC, machine learning, bioinformatics and chemical physics. This includes HPC programming environments, simulation and analysis, and integration of deep learning and experiments such as neutron scattering. See was part of a team that placed as 2020 Special COVID-19 Gordon Bell finalist. Dr. Sedova was a CSEEN Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Scientific Computing Group at NCCS OLCF, ORNL. She received her PhD with focuses on computational biophysics, bioinformatics, and structural biology from the University at Albany’s Biomedical Sciences Department, a joint program at the NY State Department of Health's Wadsworth Center. She also received a masters in mathematics from University at Albany’s Department of Mathematics and Statistics with a research focus on stochastic processes in physics and chemistry.
