Biography
Dr. Ruhela is a Research Associate in the HPC group at Texas Advanced Supercomputing Center (TACC). Before TACC, he was a postdoctoral researcher in the MVAPICH2 MPI team at The Ohio State University (OSU). He has more than 17 years of R&D experience in HPC, Social Computing, and Telecommunication. His current research interests are novel designs and algorithms in parallel communication and containerization to deliver HPC applications' best performance. He has also conducted extensive scalability studies and performance evaluations of popular HPC applications on leading supercomputers.

Dr. Ruhela received his doctorate from IIT Delhi and B.Tech degree from NIT Kurukshetra, both in Computer Science. He has worked closely with several organizations across academia, government, and industry, including OSU, NICTA Australia, IIT-Delhi, and C-DOT Delhi and computational researchers from TACC, SDSC, OSC, UMH, LLNL, University of Oregon, NCAR, and EPFL on NSF and XSEDE proposals.
