Neil Mehta is a performance engineer in the applications performance group (APG) at NERSC. He completed his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign in 2020. His area of expertise is in performance optimization and benchmarking of particle based codes. His current projects include the development of hybrid C++ - Python algorithms with data transfers between the two languages directly on GPU memory. He is part of the Exaalt molecular dynamics and ExaRL reinforcement learning ECP teams.
