Mathias Jacquelin
Biography
Mathias Jacquelin is a Senior Member of the Technical Staff at Cerebras Systems focusing parallel and distributed programming techniques applied to Machine Learning and High Performance Computing applications. Prior to joining Cerebras, Mathias was a Research Staff Scientist at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory where he has worked on task based scheduling and lightweight one-sided communications in the context of sparse matrix direct solvers. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon and a MSc in Information Technology from the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon (INSA Lyon).

Mathias has made various contributions to the field of dense and sparse matrix computations as well as stencil computations. He is the recipient of the 2017 Best Paper Award at the IXPUG workshop of the ISC HPC conference, and the 2011 TCPP Best Poster award at the 25th International Parallel and Distributed Processing Symposium (IPDPS’11).
