Biography
Dalal Sukkari earned her MSc and PhD degrees in Applied Mathematics and Computational Science from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in 2013 and 2019, respectively. During her time at KAUST, she was a member of the Extreme Computing Research Center (ECRC), directed by Prof. David Keyes. Her research primarily focused on the development of high-performance implementations for QR-based Dynamically Weighted Halley algorithms across various computing architectures. Currently, she is a research scientist at the Innovative Computing Laboratory (ICL) at the University of Tennessee, led by Prof. Jack Dongarra. Dalal's research is centered on enhancing the functionality of the SLATE (Software for Linear Algebra Targeting Exascale) library by providing high-performance implementations for diverse dense linear functionalities. She is also dedicated to improving implementation performance through various optimization techniques. Dalal's academic and research journey reflects her commitment to advancing the fields of applied mathematics, computational science, and high-performance computing.
