Biography
Preston Smith is the Executive Director of the Rosen Center for Advanced Computing at Purdue University. Supporting over 230 partners, and 800 labs using research data systems, Purdue's Community Cluster program is a pioneering program for delivering "condo-style" HPC. The research computing organization at Purdue designs, builds, and operates compute systems, and delivers advanced research support to the campus community. In the cyberinfrastructure community, Preston currently focuses ROI and value propositions of cyberinfrastructure investments, and on workforce development considerations for CI practitioners.

Preston holds undergraduate and master’s degrees from Purdue’s College of Technology.
