Biography
Lev Gorenstein is a Solutions Architect at Globus (a University of Chicago non-profit service), enabling research data management at scale. A chemist by original training, Lev used to carry out research in computational chemistry, molecular modelling, protein dynamics and structural biology. After deciding that helping others with their simulations was more rewarding than running one's own, he joined Purdue Rosen Center for Advanced Computing (RCAC) as a Senior Computational Scientist. At RCAC, Lev provided advanced application management and support, as well as HPC education and engagement for HPC users at Purdue and nationwide. His interest in computational and data management workflows has naturally led him to his current position at Globus, where he facilitates Globus adoption and applications worldwide.
