Biography
Sven Karlsson is an associate professor in parallel computer architecture at DTU Compute, DTU. He received a Ph.D. degree from KTH, Sweden in 2004. His research interests are in programming models, architectures, operating systems, and system software for parallel computers and has more than 60 publications in these fields. Dr Karlsson has been involved in the development of several hardware and software systems that have been commercially exploited. More recently, he has become interested in quantum computing and how it can be integrated with high performance computers. He also has a background at Ericsson being a research leader and line manager. There he has led work on machine learning and cellular communication. Dr. Karlsson has served on numerous conference and workshop program committees and have organized several workshops including the workshop for Open Source Supercomputing and the Workshop on Post-Exascale Programmability.
