Heidi Poxon
Biography
Heidi Poxon is a Principal HPC Technologist at AWS, where she combines her HPC and cloud expertise to deliver new solutions that target large-scale computing needs. She has over 25 years of experience working in HPC as an engineer, software architect, strategist, speaker, and technical leader. Prior to joining AWS in 2021, Heidi led the technology and strategic direction at HPE for the HPE Cray Programming Environment. During her 26 years at Cray, she designed and delivered software that helped users extract the maximum performance from a system. Previous work included MPI, shared memory, and tool software development, and performance analysis of applications on large-scale systems and new architectures. Heidi has been a frequent speaker at global events, workshops and tutorials, and has participated on SC program committees and technology advisory teams, including the MPI User Forum, and the Exascale Computing Project Software Technology Advisory and Review Team.
