Biography
Peter Lindstrom is a Computer Scientist in the Center for Applied Scientific Computing at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2000 and holds B.S. degrees in Computer Science, Mathematics, and Physics from Elon University, North Carolina. Peter joined LLNL in 2000, where he serves as Principal Investigator for the zfp data compression effort as part of the DOE Exascale Computing Project. He was the Editor in Chief of Graphical Models from 2012-2015 and is an IEEE Computer Society Distinguished Contributor.
