Biography
Dr. Dong Dai is an Assistant Professor at the Computer Science Department of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Dr. Dong Dai's research interests revolve around developing intelligent infrastructure for high-performance data-intensive systems. Specifically, his research areas include parallel file systems, metadata management, graph storage, scheduling, and machine learning frameworks. Dr. Dong Dai leads the Data Intelligence Research (DIR) Lab, a research group that specializes in the co-design of data-intensive and intelligent systems. Additionally, Dr. Dai is an associate director of the Parallel and High-Performance Computing (PHPC) Lab at UNC-Charlotte.
