Biography
Ryan E. Grant is an Assistant Professor at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario Canada. He has over 15 years of experience in power/energy-related research. His research focuses on high performance networking and power management for extreme-scale systems. He leads several API specifications efforts including Power API and the partitioned communications chapter of the MPI specification body and is active in the Portals Networking API specifications group where he was a former chair. Ryan has published over 80 papers on networking and power/energy methods for large-scale HPC systems. He has won an R&D100 award for his work on the the Power API in 2018 and received a R&D100 special recognition award silver medal for Corporate Responsibility also in 2018. He holds a PhD in Computer Engineering from Queen’s University where he was an Alexander Graham Bell Scholar.
