Full professor, apart from his teaching activities and supervision of undergraduate, master's and doctoral theses, he is director of the Communications and Information Technologies group - COMIT (http://comit.uniandes.edu.co) of the University of Los Andes, whose main research topics are distributed systems, high performance computing (HPC), Big Data, Security and topics associated with computational infrastructure. He leads different activities in the cloud computing and HPC area not only at the university level but also at the national level, and has been national coordinator of international projects for the establishment of an HPC platform between Europe and Latin America. As part of his work as a research professor, he has participated in multiple consulting projects with private and public sector companies in the area of Infrastructure Architecture to align business objectives with the infrastructure required to support the applications and data that give it value. to the organization. He is currently the coordinator of the master's degree in Information Security.
