Mr. Roy Varghese is a Director Specialist for High Performance Computing (HPC) at Microsoft. In this role, Roy is responsible for supporting the public sector, academic research and climate/weather customers in the Americas to leverage the power of Azure HPC to do more. Prior to joining Microsoft, Roy was a member of the Senior Executive Service and spent almost 12 years at the U.S. Judiciary and the U.S. NOAA Fisheries. At NOAA Fisheries, Roy served on the NOAA HPC Board, and as CIO was responsible for providing and modernizing the IT infrastructure and digital innovation for Fisheries’ scientific research and regulatory priorities. Prior to joining U.S. federal government, Roy served in various operations and marketing positions in the financial and technology sectors.
