Biography
Professor Devesh Tiwari is the Associate Vice Provost at Northeastern University and leads the Goodwill Computing Lab where his group innovates new solutions to make large-scale classical high performance computing (HPC) systems and quantum computing more efficient, reliable, and environmentally sustainable. Before joining academia, he was a research scientist at the Department of Energy Oak Ridge National Laboratory.

Devesh's research group is recognized for impactful contributions and accelerating research innovation in the area of HPC, quantum computing, environmentally sustainable computing via open-source novel software artifacts. Devesh has been recognized with multiple research awards including NSF CAREER Award on quantum computing, IEEE TC on Dependable Computing and Fault Tolerance's Rising Star in Dependability, Facebook/Meta Faculty Research Award, Amazon Award, IEEE TCSC MCR Research Excellence in Scalable Computing, Northeastern College of Engineering Faculty Fellow, and DSN Hall of Fame. Devesh was elected to be on the SC conference steering committee.
