Biography
Andreas Dilger is Principal Architect for the Lustre filesystem, starting with prototype development in 1999 to leading its ongoing 20-year journey to provide high-performance storage for the majority of the Top 500 systems. Andreas has worked on Linux and data storage at startups, as well as IBM, Sun Microsystems, Oracle, Intel, and is currently Lustre CTO at Whamcloud/DDN. He is also a contributor to the Linux ext4 filesystem, an author of the PNG ISO/IEC standard, and has served on the PC for various HPC conferences and workshops. Andreas has a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Calgary.
