Algebraic Smooth Occluding Contours

DescriptionThis paper describes the first general-purpose smooth surface representation for which the occluding contours can be computed in closed form. By approximating an input mesh with a piecewise-quadratic surface, we produce smooth contours with consistent visibility much more efficiently than the state of the art.
